A day trip to Nusa Penida from Ketewel

Kelingking Beach — the cliff shaped like a sleeping dinosaur — is one of the most striking sights in all of Indonesia, and it's very much within reach from Ketewel.

The trip starts with a fast boat from Sanur, only ten minutes from Anora Living. Crossings run through the morning and take around 30–45 minutes to Nusa Penida. Book a return ticket and, ideally, a driver on the island so you're not negotiating in the midday heat.

A classic loop covers Kelingking, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, and the palm-fringed Diamond Beach on the east coast. It's a full day and the roads are rough in places, so start early and wear proper shoes for the cliff paths.

The beauty of staying in Ketewel is the timing: you're close to the Sanur fast-boat terminal, so you can catch an early crossing and be back for a quiet dinner without a long drive at the end of a tiring day.
